A New Look for a New Year

About Me

A New Look for a New Year

Seven months ago, my sister married the love of her life in an intimate, church ceremony. I was so excited when she asked me to be the matron of honor at her wedding. Because I wanted to wear my hair in an elegant French twist at the wedding, I didn’t cut it during the first half of last year. After the wedding, I planned to cut my hair in my usual bob style. However, after receiving many compliments for my longer hair, I decided to let it continue to grow out. I’m not sure what I want to do with my hair for the New Year. However, I know I want to continue experimenting with new, exciting looks. On this blog, I hope you will discover the best hair trends for the upcoming year. Enjoy!

4 Ways To Prepare For Your Botox Appointment

Looking at your best and appearing younger may mean getting Botox. Doing so can make a massive difference in the overall appearance of your skin. Botox can tighten and firm the skin that's beginning to show the signs of aging. This is why mean middle-aged adults often enjoy this cosmetic process. It's vital to know the right things to do before going to your appointment.

1. Skip the makeup

If you typically wear cosmetics most of the time, this is one day that you'll want to go barefaced. This may be hard for some people to do, but it is necessary.

For instance, if you show up to get your Botox with a face full of makeup in place, the makeup will simply need to be removed, and this is a waste of time. The skin must be very clean to truly reduce the possibility of getting an infection.

2. Avoid certain drugs

There are some medications that you shouldn't take, and it's ideal to speak to your provider about these. In fact, you may want to stop taking some drugs a few days before your appointment for optimal results.

Keep in mind that this includes both prescription medicines and ones that are over the counter. Many of these can cause the blood to thin, and this is less than ideal.

3. Don't smoke or consume alcohol

There are many reasons to quit smoking, and getting Botox is just one more reason to do so. This could cause you to have less than preferable results, and your efforts simply won't last as long.

You'll always want to show up to any appointment that you may have entirely sober. This means skipping cocktails or mixed drinks beforehand.

4. Communicate well

You'll want to let your technician know the things you want to change in your face with the Botox. What areas are bothering you the most?

Is it wrinkles, deep creases, or sagging skin that encouraged you to schedule the Botox session? Regardless of the reasons, talking to the provider in great detail will allow you to enjoy the best results.

You can look younger and feel better about yourself when you make the right efforts. This will require some work on your part and finding the right ways to do so. Botox is highly effective for reducing wrinkles and tightening up trouble spots. Visit your local spa or salon today for this fantastic treatment.
