A New Look for a New Year

About Me

A New Look for a New Year

Seven months ago, my sister married the love of her life in an intimate, church ceremony. I was so excited when she asked me to be the matron of honor at her wedding. Because I wanted to wear my hair in an elegant French twist at the wedding, I didn’t cut it during the first half of last year. After the wedding, I planned to cut my hair in my usual bob style. However, after receiving many compliments for my longer hair, I decided to let it continue to grow out. I’m not sure what I want to do with my hair for the New Year. However, I know I want to continue experimenting with new, exciting looks. On this blog, I hope you will discover the best hair trends for the upcoming year. Enjoy!

4 Tips You Should Remember When Using A Hot Tub

Many people today are using hot tubs to improve their health and wellbeing. For instance, one can get lower back pain relief, relief from arthritis symptoms, enhanced motion range, better sleep, reduced anxiety and stress, improved cardiovascular health, and sore muscle relief. But before you or your loved one can go to swim spas, it's vital to know the key guidelines for proper use. Knowing this decreases the possibility of injuries and enhances enjoyment. Below are tips you should keep in mind every time you visit a spa.

Do Adhere to the Soak Time Limit

Since soaking in a hot tub is enjoyable, most people assume they can spend hours in the spa soaking, but this isn't allowed. The high temperatures are pleasant when the body is exposed to a limited period. If you exceed the limit, however, you may faint or have other reactions because of overheating the body.

Do Not Take Alcohol or Drugs

Alcohol and drugs usually affect users, which could be detrimental when you soak in a tub. For instance, they can lead to drowsiness or sleepiness. Effects of these drugs or alcohol heighten when the body is in warm water, which could be risky. So if you have taken any alcoholic drink or are under medication, you should avoid using a hot tub. If you aren't sure if your medication is compatible with hot tub usage, consult a physician. Finally, remember to stay hydrated to offset the perspiration effects.

Do Supervise the Kids

If your children join you in the spa, you'll have to supervise them throughout and explain the safety regulations in simple terms. For instance, they will need to remain seated and keep the head above water. Tell them to be mindful of the drain cover because entangling adornments, bathing suit, or hair could be risky. Finally, don't allow them to play in or next to the hot tub since this could lead to safety hazards.

Do Not Get Into the Tub Without Inspecting It

Although most commercial spa establishments do their best to maintain their tubs and ensure they are in top shape, you still need to do some due diligence. Start by examining how clean the spa is and check the water temperature. The water should not be cloudy or have a strong chemical smell.

Although you will enjoy soaking in a hot tub and improve your wellbeing, it's crucial to keep these dos and don'ts in mind in order to have a pleasant experience. For more information on hot tubs, contact a local spa.
